Beatrice is working hard on recovery.
She did have to return to the vet because the infected ear also came with an abcess in her neck under the ear. She stopped eating and started snorting and having trouble breating deeply. She had surgury, and now has a shaved spot in her dew lap and is getting antibiotic shots in her bunny butt everyday.
Her career as a diva show rabbit has been put on hold for a while.

Even though I know she's feeling rather crappy, that is still a funny pic. Flemish giants have so much personality.
Best wishes for a speedy and full recovery. Is she getting pro-biotics too? I had a vet who first said this was unecessarily then decided is was a good idea. Thanks for the sprout post, got me re-inspired.
Hi all, thanks for the wishes for Beatrice. Afraid to say that abcess has healed over and looks big again and feels hot. - thought that may be the temperature of her skin where it's shaved.
Yes, she's getting pro-biotics even thought the antibiotics kill it, maybe something gets in there.
